The idea for this album is two pronged.

1 - Most of my songs are real long.

2 - I love short stories.

Short Songs can be seen as a multi genre collection of short stories. It was recorded over a few weeks in the winter of 2016. Covering a wide range of styles, it represents many of the different creative worlds in which I operate. Included are original compositions, improvisations and three jazz standards. This album was recorded to analog tape.
